Plan your venison pickup

Ask about readiness, pickup hours, payment, and cold transport before collecting your venison from Country Boy Trades.

These are planning questions, not a confirmed service menu. You can call about unconfirmed prices, services, or policies. Call (615) 604-3887 every time before bringing a deer, in every season.

Confirm it is ready

This website does not promise a processing turnaround or a particular notification method. Ask the shop how you will know your order is complete, then confirm a pickup time before making the trip.

If someone else will collect your order, ask what authorization or identifying information the shop requires. Do not assume a family member can pick it up without checking.

Prepare for the trip home

Ask whether your order will be frozen or refrigerated and bring enough insulated storage to maintain that condition. USDA advises keeping refrigerated perishable food at 40°F or below and a freezer at 0°F or below.

Make room in your freezer before pickup. Go home promptly rather than leaving meat in a warm vehicle while running errands. Package size, labels, and storage instructions should be confirmed directly with the shop.

Check the order together

Review the order and its labels before leaving. Ask about any unfamiliar product, cooking instruction, or storage requirement. Do not assume summer sausage or jerky is shelf-stable simply because of the product name.

Ask about the shop’s holding deadline if you cannot collect promptly. No unclaimed-meat deadline or fee is confirmed here.
