Drop-off

What to expect when you bring a deer in.

The practical page. If it is not settled here, it is a phone call.

For Tennessee tagging and check-in requirements, see TWRA’s Tag Before You Drag instructions and our harvest check-in guide. State requirements are separate from the shop’s intake policies.

Do I need to call first?

Call (615) 604-3887 every time before bringing a deer, in every season. Phone: (615) 604-3887.

Does it have to be field-dressed?

You may bring your deer field-dressed or not field-dressed. If it is not field-dressed, an additional $45.00 fee applies. Call every time before bringing a deer and avoid unnecessary delays getting your deer to the shop.

Will I get my own deer back?

You get your own deer back, not someone else’s.

Do I skin it?

Tell them what shape it is in when you call. Call (615) 604-3887 to confirm.

What do I bring?

TWRA requires the harvest confirmation number to accompany a deer taken to a meat processor. Ask the shop how to present it and whether it needs any additional paperwork. Call (615) 604-3887 to confirm.

Where do I pull in?

Confirm with the shop when you call. The address is 496 Chipman Road, Bethpage.

What if it is gut-shot, stiff, or frozen?

Call before you drive and describe its condition. Call (615) 604-3887 to confirm.

Can I drop it off after hours?

Call (615) 604-3887 to confirm.

What about out-of-state deer?

Call (615) 604-3887 to confirm.

How will I know it is ready?

Call (615) 604-3887 to confirm.
