Use a participating processor

Tennessee Wildlife Federation’s processor directory lists Country Boy Trades at 496 Chipman Road, Bethpage, TN 37022, with phone number (615) 604-3887.

Country Boy Trades’ calling policy is: Call (615) 604-3887 every time before bringing a deer, in every season. This also applies when bringing a deer for donation. Ask any donation-specific questions when you call.

What free processing means

The Federation states that free processing applies to whole-deer donations. The hunter does not receive the donated meat back; it is prepared for hunger-relief distribution.

Its estimate of 168 servings for a whole deer is a program illustration, not a promised yield from your specific animal. Do not confuse statewide program impact with a shop’s individual donation total.

Donation drop-off

Harvest legally and follow TWRA reporting requirements. Call (615) 604-3887 every time before bringing a deer, in every season. You may bring your deer field-dressed or not field-dressed. If it is not field-dressed, an additional $45.00 fee applies. Tell the shop you are donating the deer, and complete the Federation’s current donation form. Ask how donation-program coverage applies to the additional fee; a waiver has not been confirmed.

Donation does not waive CWD testing or carcass-transport rules. The Federation says venison from the CWD Management Zone or a high-risk area is tested and only negative-tested venison is delivered to hunger-relief agencies.
