Tennessee deer baiting and wildlife-feeding requirements can change. The current TWRA deer page includes bait privilege licensing and restrictions by property, species, methods, and CWD geography. An answer copied from an earlier season may no longer describe the current rules.
This article is a checklist for finding the applicable rule, not a standing declaration that baiting is legal at your location. Read the linked official page and contact TWRA when a detail or boundary is unclear.

Identify the exact situation
Before placing feed or hunting near it, identify the harvest county, exact property, public or private status, current CWD restrictions, species, and required licenses. Permission from a landowner does not override wildlife regulations.
Check allowed materials, amounts, spacing, feeder methods, and any restrictions affecting other species or hunters. Do not assume that a camera, food plot, mineral product, or neighbor’s practice establishes what you may legally do.

Keep legality and wildlife health separate
TWRA discusses disease transmission and other consequences of concentrating wildlife. Something permitted under a particular rule is not automatically the best management choice or free of disease concerns.
Recheck the current agency instructions before every season and after a relevant rule change. This website’s local weather selector is not a map of legal hunting or baiting areas, and the shop does not issue wildlife-law approvals.
